Re the HUAC message. although my parents were mere
autodidactic middle class nobodies, they felt strongly
enough about HUAC to let me, at 14, stay home from
school to watch the hearings. I may have actually
heard Bill speak. I cartainly acted like it for the
next 46 years....
It was a pleasure to note at the Black Oak reading
that he hasn't backed offb a bit.
