Mandel and guest Sharon Tennison discuss the latter's years-long work in post-Soviet Russia to train 6,000 starting entrepreneurs in how to do business, prohibited by Marxist socialism. She has recruited 23,000 volunteer Americans, with the aid primarily of Rotary clubs, to host and train these people. Mandel emphasizes that this has produced a substantial number of friends in each country for the people of the other, and that this is vital inasmuch as the U.S. and Russia are the only countries with enough nuclear warheads and means of delivery to end the existence of mankind if they go to war.

The Elected chief of one of the two Indian reservations in the U.S. [Minnesota] that never signed a treaty surrendering its sovereignty will join Bill Mandel. It is now being pressured in a particularly ugly fashion (frame-up jailing of the chief's son) to share its revenue from gaming with Minnesota, which is running a deficit, although the Indians' living standard remains way below that of whites in the state.

Bill Mandel will have as guest the slam poet Shailja Patel, now working on the one-woman show Migritude. It reflects the thoughts and emotions arising from being a woman born on one continent, Africa, to a family from another, Asia, university-educated on a third, Europe, and living and working on a fourth, North America. She will read from her poetry, converse with Bill, and answer questions from the audience.
